Q&A

Is micropigmentation a tattoo?

Micropigmentation is not a tattoo. It targets the epidermis, which is the top layer of the skin, and doesn’t penetrate as deeply as a tattoo, resulting in a more natural and uniform outcome.

The longevity of micropigmentation depends on the type of procedure:

  • Brows: Approximately 12 to 18 months.

  • Eyeliner, Lash Shading, and Micro Lips: Approximately 2 years.

Factors like skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare can influence how long the results last. A touch-up session is required within 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure to refine and perfect the look.

The pigment will naturally fade over time, which is why we suggest getting the technique redone to restore their fullness and defined shape.

A preliminary design is made and after being approved by the customer we proceed to perform the service, using manual and electric instruments with micro needles.

We use inorganic pigments of mineral origin, which are known for their durability and natural compatibility with the skin. Unlike petroleum-based pigments, which may last longer but can pose health concerns, our pigments are carefully chosen to prioritize your well-being. They are free of harsh chemicals and are designed to fade gradually and gracefully, ensuring a beautiful and safe result.

A touch-up is done once 30-60 days after the first procedure to refine and enhance results.

Although this is not a very abrasive procedure or one that involves the use of chemical ingredients, for people with severe allergies, a patch test can be performed by applying a small amount of the product to the area to be treated before starting the procedure.

The sensation during Micro-Pigmentation varies for each person, but in general, most clients describe it as mild discomfort rather than pain. We use a numbing cream to keep you as comfortable as possible throughout the procedure, ensuring a smooth experience with beautiful results. However, Micro lips can cause noticeable discomfort, as the lips are a very sensitive area. Our artist will prioritize your comfort when working on your lips by applying the numbing cream multiple times throughout the procedure to minimize pain and ensure a manageable experience.

Absolutely! Our approach focuses on soft, natural tones that complement your unique complexion. The goal is to create a fresh look, as if your lips are naturally tinted.

Aftercare is simple but important:

  • Keep the area hydrated with the provided Vitamin.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure and swimming.
  • Follow our detailed aftercare guide to ensure optimal healing and color retention.

If you have a history of cold sores (herpes simplex virus), the procedure may trigger an outbreak as a normal reaction to the stimulation of the lips. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. To minimize the chances of an outbreak, we highly recommend taking antiviral medication (such as acyclovir or valacyclovir) as prescribed by your doctor before and after the procedure. This preventive step ensures a smoother healing process while protecting your comfort and results.

The duration of the procedure depends on the area being treated:
  • Brows and Eyeliner: Approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • Micro Lips: Approximately 2 to 4 hours, depending on the client’s needs and desired results.
We take the time to ensure precision, comfort, and a personalized outcome for each client
