My Story
The last 21 months have been the most intense period of transformation in my life and in Green Wave. After 21 years of doing things one way, I felt called to evolve — to give more to our clients, and to ourselves as human beings. It has been a journey of hard work, constant creation, and deep change.
When September ended, I knew my body and soul needed a true reset. I entered a darkness and silence retreat — days without screens, without light, almost without sound. Eating, showering, walking, even brushing my teeth — all in darkness. At first, it was strange. Then my body began to exhale. My nervous system softened. My senses woke up in a different way. I could hear more, taste more, feel more.
In that stillness, I also touched compassion: for those who cannot see the beauty of creation with their eyes, and for us who, though we can see, often forget to appreciate it — too busy looking at a screen instead of the sky.
This retreat reminded me of something essential: darkness regenerates us. Just like the seed that spends its time under the soil, unseen but alive, preparing to grow.
The Season of Fall
Fall is nature’s invitation to go deeper. Days shorten, nights lengthen, and we are asked to slow down, to root, to restore. This is not decline — it is preparation. A descent that allows true regeneration.
October marks the beginning of this three-month season. If we follow nature, this is our time to rest, reset, and plant what will bloom later.
The Science of Darkness and Reset
Darkness therapy is more than symbolic — it is biological:
- Melatonin production: In darkness, the pineal gland produces melatonin, a hormone that helps regulate our circadian rhythm. Melatonin is also a powerful antioxidant, supporting cellular repair and protecting the nervous system.
- Nervous system balance: Without constant visual stimulation, the nervous system has a chance to reset. Stress hormones drop, and calm neurotransmitters rise.
- Frequency and water: During my retreat, I practiced mindful breathing and listened to bioneural frequencies. I could feel the water in my body respond — restructuring. vibrating with new coherence. Science shows that both sound and frequency can influence water molecules, and since we are mostly water, our inner landscape shifts too.
- Sensory reconnection: Eating, walking, showering in darkness sharpened my senses. It reminded me that presence and mindfulness open doors that light and distraction often keep closed.
Reflection for October
- What do you need to compost, to let go of, so it can transform into fertile soil for new growth?
- Can you create small moments of darkness — dimming the lights, turning off screens, sipping water in silence — to allow your body and mind to rest?
- How can you connect more with the senses you often ignore? Taste, touch, smell, sound — all become richer when given attention.
Green Wave Seasonal Recommendations
This is also the perfect time to align your self-care with the season:
- Waxing → A natural ritual of letting go. In October, allow each session to be an act of renewal — releasing what no longer serves you.
- Facials for the Soul → Our HydroGreenSM Protocol, infused with water and sensory experience, helps you reconnect through touch, breath, and hydration.
- Laser Hair Removal → Fall and winter are the best time to begin treatments, so your skin is ready for spring and summer.
- Eyebrow Design (Micropigmentation) → Subtle definition now means effortless beauty every day, without constant makeup.
Water Ritual for October
This month, try drinking your water in stillness and low light. Hold your glass, close your eyes, and whisper a word you wish to root in your life — “Rest”, “Reset”, “Compassion”. Sip slowly, and let the vibration of that word travel through your body, just as the seed absorbs the soil’s quiet energy before sprouting.
Take moments to sit in stillness, listening to high-frequency music. As you focus on your breath, your feelings, your thoughts, and the sensations in your body, the water within you responds — restructuring, vibrating in harmony, and supporting your regeneration from the inside out.
Moments of Mindful Contemplation
Create daily pauses of pure attention:
- Step outside to contemplate the landscape or simply look up at the sky.
- Let yourself feel wonder for what surrounds you, without rush or distraction.
- At night, reduce artificial light: stop looking at screens at least 1–2 hours before sleep. This helps your body increase natural melatonin, allowing deeper rest and cellular repair.
Closing
This October, let yourself be like the seed in darkness: unseen, but alive with potential. Rest. Reset. Allow your inner waters to restructure. Trust that in this descent you are not losing, but preparing — for the growth and light to come.
