This year, Green Wave is celebrating 22 years. For more than two decades, we have had the privilege of serving thousands of people in Weston and Boca Raton through our services. What began as a waxing center has taught us far more than techniques, treatments, or trends.
Yes… more than that, these years have taught us something even more valuable.
About people.
About beauty.
About wellbeing.
And about life itself.
As we look back, we reflect on some of the most valuable lessons these 22 years have taught us.
And today, we would like to share them with you: our clients, our community, and all the people who have been part of this journey.
Because you are the reason we continue striving to learn, grow, and become better every day.
What We Have Learned About People
- Behind every skin, there is a person.
Every service begins with the skin, but it always involves a person with a unique story.
- Behind every person, there is a story.
We may not know everything someone is going through, but we know there is always more beneath the surface than we can see.
- We all want to feel seen, heard, and understood.
It is a human need that transcends age, profession, and appearance.
- Everyone is carrying something others cannot always see.
That is why empathy will always matter.
- Listening is a way of serving.
Listening with genuine attention can be just as valuable as any recommendation or treatment.
- Presence has power.
Being truly present can make a greater difference than we often realize.
What We Have Learned About Service
- How we make people feel matters more than we think.
People often remember how we made them feel more than the details of the service itself.
- A conversation can be just as valuable as a treatment.
Many meaningful connections begin through simple and genuine conversations within our treatment rooms.
- Serving from the heart leaves a lasting impact.
The intention behind what we do matters.
- The energy we give often comes back to us.
Kindness, respect, and genuine care have a multiplying effect.
- We all have the ability to brighten someone’s day.
Sometimes a smile, a kind word, or a thoughtful gesture makes a bigger difference than we realize.
What We Have Learned About Beauty
- Beauty means something different to everyone.
There is no single definition of beauty. Its meaning lives in the eyes of the person who sees it.
- Beauty goes far beyond appearance.
Appearance is only one part of a much broader experience that also includes wellbeing, confidence, authenticity, and our connection with ourselves.
- Beauty can also be found in authenticity.
The most memorable people, and often those who appear most beautiful, are those who feel comfortable in their own skin and embrace who they truly are.
- Confidence is transformative.
When a person feels confident and comfortable in their own skin, it naturally shows.
- Self-improvement should not require self-rejection.
Over the years, we have learned there is a difference between caring for ourselves because we value ourselves and trying to change ourselves because we believe we are not enough.
The pursuit of becoming a better version of ourselves can be beautiful, as long as it comes from self-love rather than self-rejection.
- Beauty is not only seen, it is felt.
And that feeling often begins long before we look in the mirror.
- When beauty is felt, it radiates.
It shows in our skin, our eyes, our energy, and the way we move through the world.
What We Have Learned About Wellbeing
- Self-care is an important part of wellbeing.
Taking time for ourselves is not a luxury; it is an act of care, self-love, and self-respect.
- Wellbeing involves much more than the body.
It also includes our emotions, thoughts, choices, relationships, and lifestyle.
What We Have Learned Building Green Wave
- Passion opens the path.
Great journeys often begin with an idea, a purpose, and a great deal of enthusiasm.
- Consistency and gratitude build a legacy.
The years pass and challenges change, but perseverance and gratitude are what allow something meaningful to endure.
After 22 Years…
After 22 years, we are still learning.
Still listening.
Still growing.
And still grateful for every person who has trusted us and become part of this story.
Because if there is one thing we have learned along the way, it is that our work has never been only about aesthetic treatments. It has always been about people, and that may be the greatest lesson these 22 years have taught us.
With gratitude,
Eliana Ruiz, Teresa Pineda & The Green Wave Team
